SHIMANO | SPEEDMASTER 14,000 XTD

The Speedmaster XTD is a stunning long range carp reel that offers remarkable value. Containing gearing and long cast technology taken directly from more expensive class-leading SHIMANO models, the understated ‘stealth’ finish fits perfectly with all Tribal TX Carp rods.

If you want a great combination of value, quality and performance, you’ll immediately be drawn to the Speedmaster XTD. Combining the same G Free Body silhouette as many of SHIMANO’S long-range reels, with an understated stealth appearance, the Speedmaster is visually stunning. And in use it does not disappoint either. Not only will the Speedmaster enable you to cast further, the new gearing arrangement and technology will provide you with the strength needed to catch the largest specimen fish with ease.  A great choice for anglers of all abilities.

It really is difficult to fault the Speedmaster. It has inherited many of the top features used by the leading SHIMANO long range reels. Super Slow 5-line oscillation is used on all long-range reels right up to the Power Aero price point, as is G Free Body, Parallel Body, Rigid Cast and a cold forged aluminium AR-C spool. You even get a set of spool reducers to make spooling up more cost efficient. And when it comes to playing fish the combination of HAGANE Gear and SILENT DRIVE technology optimises winding efficiency and the Instant Drag enables super-fast adjustment of drag tension to control fish with minimal fuss. But perhaps the most impressive characteristic is that whilst the Speedmaster maintains the credibility of its more expensive cousins, it offers remarkable value for money.
